Tmux

tmux is a terminal multiplexer. It lets you switch easily between several programs in one terminal, detach them (they keep running in the background) and reattach them to a different terminal.

Tmux on Euler

Since Euler uses a load balancer to dispatch login sessions across its login nodes, you may find that your tmux sessions are not persistent across logins. To ensure that your tmux sessions are persistent, you can use an explicit login node via its hostname. See the login nodes page for a list of available login nodes.
